After ten years, the 2015 recipients are the final honorees of The Lee Iacocca Award. When we announced the retiring of The Award many of our classic car friends came forward to remind me there were still many more men and women that needed to be recognized for their participation and philanthropy within the classic car world. I know this to be the truth. Over the years you’ve become my personal friends and I am saddened any of the “unsung heroes” could remain anonymous. But, we’ve had a terrific run and there is some wisdom to leave folks wanting more.
From the outset, running The Lee Iacocca Award was the most gratifying project I was in charge of on behalf of Lee Iacocca and The Iacocca Family Foundation. I would like to thank each of you for your participation. There aren’t adequate words to relay the respect and admiration I have for what you all do maintaining the hobby and giving back to your communities. The rest of the world could learn a few lessons from “car guys and gals.” May you each always and forever…
“Enjoy the ride”,
Proud sponsor of the Lee Iacocca Award.
