Bill Dillard was part of the original group that founded the Mustang Club of America, has served as president, board chairman and anniversary show chairman. Most notably he “picked up the pieces” and accomplished the original Mustang 30th Anniversary Show in 1994 when the chairman, Jim Osborne, unexpectedly pass away.

William Prescott, 2008 AACA Hershey Region President, accepted The Lee Iacocca Award on behalf of his band of over 1,000 volunteers who put on the successful Hershey Fall Meet, as well as other activities and shows that benefit the AACA and the community.

Doug Magnon, practically grew up on a racetrack and because of his love for automotive history, he founded the Riverside International Museum. T he museum houses a collection of sports and race cars, but most dearest to Doug is the archive, preservation and exhibition of the history of racing in Southern California.

Tom Sparks is a legendary Hot Rodder, engine builder, restorer and collector. He has restored many of the greatest classic cars in existence today. His vehicles are shown and win awards at Pebble Beach, as well as being featured in the Ultimate Garages Book – a tribute to his good taste and skill.

Bruce Meyer has spent decades modifying, restoring and showing his vehicles in hundreds of shows. He chairs The Peterson Museums Checkered Flag 200 volunteer team and is extraordinarily generous with his collection and time; even so much as being instrumental in helping persuade the CA legislature to not pass laws that would have hurt the car collector hobby.

MUSTANG OWNERS CLUB OF CALIFORNIA

Randy Chestnut has been a collector for over 15 years giving his own time to assist others with their restoration. He also has written a number of hobby related articles for the club newsletter. His 1970 Mustang Fastback has won a number of trophies. At the time of the award, he was restoring a 1968 Mustang California special edition model.

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION CLASSIC AUTO SHOW

David Landow started working on engines just out of elementary school. He participates in numerous shows and has written many articles for local and national publications. He is credited in bringing a singular focus to The Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show in that he has lifted the publication relations for this event to a new level.

Dick Bowman, who has been a member of the WPC Board since 1986, Editor of the WPC News since 1987 and President since 1993, has an impressive list of credentials including belonging to nearly a dozen different car clubs. He is a Director of Library and Media Service of the Gilmore Car Museum.

Alex Idzardi is a custom car builder with many award-winning vehicles to his credit. He has been featured in many automotive publications for his craft and leadership in the car hobby.

WESTERN UNITED STATES NATIONAL MUSTANG SHOW

Wally Short, member of Rio Grande Mustang Club, is the National Head Judge, spending 26 years as a Gold Card Judge. He has been involved in the hobby for 63 years, contributing articles to MCA Magazine and has run numerous judging clinics for MCA. He has helped restore over 45 Mustangs.

Ken Gross is a highly acclaimed automotive journalist for 37 years writing in numerous publications, such as AutoWeek, Hagerty’s Magazine, Road & Track, Old Cars Weekly and many, many more. He’s written numerous books, his latest: Hot Rods and Custom Cars, Los Angeles and The Dry Lakes.

Chuck Hanson and his name are synonymous with classic Chevelles. He is the founder and president of American Chevelle Enthusiasts. He has penned a number of articles, as well as is a prolific fundraiser for St Judes Children Hospital.

LAKE MIRROR CLASSIC

October 18, 2009 – Lake Mirror, FL *NPD


Paul Dimbath has served as chief judge since inception of the Lake Mirror Classic and humbled with this honor by his peers. He rebuilt his first engine at the age of twelve and has not stopped restoring since. He is a leader and active participant in many clubs; the AACA, as well as VCCA, with his vintage Chevrolet’s winning numerous awards.

MUSTANG OWNERS SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN
December 8, 2009 – Brownstown, MI

Neil Holcomb has been awarded The Lee Iacocca posthumously and the plaque was given to his wife, Kathy. He was the number 1 source for many people on 1st generation Mustangs and communicated well with all generations. His philanthropy reached to numerous organizations, including American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, JDRF and American Red Cross to name a few. He will be missed as a kind and generous man, as well as an expert in his field.
