ALL FORD AND MUSTANG ROUNDUP

January 8-9, 2011 – Silver Springs, FL
Frank Wheelus has served on the Board of Directors for both the North Florida AACA and the early Ford V-8 Club for a total of more than 38 years of service.  He’s an avid collector of early Fords and remains very active in his local clubs philanthropic activities.

 

ANTIQUE AUTOMOBILE CLUB OF AMERICA
February 12, 2011 – Hershey, PA
Darwin Clark is a man who never asks for recognition and has been gracious with his time and financial support.  He’s served the AACA in multiple capacities, including President of the museum board since 2005.  His illustrious career with GM is well documented as Vice President and General Manager of Oldsmobile.

 

BOCA RATON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB CONCOURS D’ ELEGANCE
February 25-27, 2011 – Boca Raton, FL
Jay Leno has been collecting classic cars for 40 years, with more than 100 in his Big Dog Garage.  He’s appeared on numerous automotive programs and written countless articles. He is affiliated with many non-profit organizations and personally walks “car shows” all over the country promoting the hobby by example.

 

THE AMELIA ISLAND CONCOURS D’ ELEGANCE
March 11-13, 2011 – Amelia Island, FL
John W. Rich, Sr. attends upwards of 24 car shows every year to show his collection of over 80 classic cars, with his current favorites being pre-war European classics.  Right now, however, his Number 1 priority is working to cure diabetes.

 

MOPARS AT THE STRIP
April 8-10, 2011 – Las Vegas, NV
Bill Sefton has an amazing collection of over 150 muscle and performance cars and generously displays his vehicles around the country.  Bill and his wife Becky are ardent supporters of many well known charities including the Village at Mayo Clinic, a low-cost, extended-stay lodging option for transplant and cancer patients undergoing treatment at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

 

THE ELEGANCE AT HERSHEY
June 12, 2011 – Hershey, PA
Dr. Frederick A. Simeone a renowned neurosurgeon has assembled over 60 of the rarest and most significant racing cars ever built at The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia.  His Foundation supports and has held events for United Cerebral Palsy, American Cancer Society, Mission Kids, Daddy’s Spirit to name a few.

 

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION CLASSIC CAR SHOW
July 8-9, 2011 –  Hilliard, OH
Jim Baker through his association with the Jaguar Club of Central Ohio has participated in the Arthritis Foundation Classic Car Show as one of its leaders for some 25 years seeing it grow to a 2 day event with 2,500 cars.

 

WALTER P. CHRYSLER CLASSIC CAR SHOW
July 13-16, 2011 – St. Johnsbury, VT
Darin Yazejian worked in the Chrysler design studios and helped to build the infamous muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s.  He continues to help anyone with advice on restoring old Chryslers and has attended more national meets than anyone ever.

 

NEW ENGLAND CONCOURS
July 15-17, 2011 – Stratton Mountain, VT
Pat Foster in addition to writing monthly columns for Hemmings Classic Car, and writing 14 Automotive History Books has served on AACA’s Society of Automotive Historians as well as the Nash Heritage Preservation Project.

 

GUNNISON CAR SHOW
August 19-21, 2011 – Gunnison, CO
Jim and Rick Schmidt, owners of National Parts Depot are the largest classic car parts operation in the United States.  They not only provide a vital service to collectors but assist clubs and shows all over the country with their generosity.

 

MUSTANG CLUB OF AMERICA GRAND NATIONAL
September 204, 2011 – Waldorf, MD
Allen Stewart has contributed immeasurable technical data on the early generation of Mustangs.  His unwavering support covers judging, restoring as well as showing.  He unselfishly assists and encourages others in perpetuating an “American Automotive Tradition” in the Ford Mustang.

 

GLENMOOR GATHERING
September 16-18, 2011- Canton, OH
Bill Davis in addition to being an avid collector, participating in to many clubs (Rolls-Royce Owners, AACA, Oldsmobile Club of America, Cadillac, Buick Club of America and Covair Society) and holding a number of executive positions is a trustee of a fund which contributes to MacPherson College for their auto restoration program.

 

SILVER SPRING ALL GM SHOW
October 1, 2011- Silver Springs, FL
Doug Evans has a long history in automotive publishing donating millions of dollars of advertising space to support not only philanthropic automotive related projects but ties with SEMA Care (Victory Junction and Child Help), American Armed Forces Foundation, Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and Patriot Outreach.  He also lobbies legislators in Washington on behalf of the automotive industry.

 
MUSTANG CLUB OF SAN DIEGO
October 2, 2011 – San Diego, CA
Marc Bodrie is a “hands on” collector who assisted customers during his career in the Ford parts business.  He also helps club members on repair and restoration of their vehicles.  He participates in over 40 automotive events a year and volunteers with a local high school, San Diego Zoo, CHP widow and orphans fund and San Diego Children’s Hospital. He is the current president of his club and has served in numerous positions, writing hundreds of articles and stories for auto related publications.

 

LAKE MIRROR CLASSIC AUTO FESTIVAL
October 15, 2011 – Lakeland, FL
Mary Jean Wesche ‘s love for classic cars began as a teen assisting her father with the restoration of an antique Chevy and Packard.  She belongs to and held many appointed and elected positions in over a dozen car clubs/organizations.  She is Editorial Director for Pate Media Group, which includes The Mustang Times.

 

HILTON HEAD ISLAND CONCOURS AND MOTORING FESTIVAL
November 6, 2011 – Hilton Head Island, SC
J.C. O’Steen has the unique distinction of being recognized by more automotive enthusiasts and collectors as the premier source of restoring vintage Micro Cars to a higher standard.  He shares his personal collection of vehicles at shows all over the country.
