Stephen Hawter generously assists car hobbyists with their vehicle renovations and has dedicated himself to the organizing of many car clubs.  Interfaith is his local charitable organization, operating many programs for children and adults to enhance their lives.

February 9, 2013 – Philadelphia, PA

William “Tom” Gerrard shares automotive factory literature and photos documenting the vehicles hobbyists restore.  Together with his service to John Hopkins Hospital, National Constitution Center, Yellowstone Park and more, his contribution is worldwide.

Steve Wolf employs three men full time restoring classic cars for his museum that is open to many clubs and organizations.  He serves on the Board of Directors for The Boys and Girls Club and actively fundraises on their behalf.

March 8-10, 2013 – Amelia Island, FL

Ford Heacock is responsible for the very successful car show in Lakeland, FL, having raised over $250,000 for local non-profit groups.  He is the founder of Vintage Motorsport Magazine and served as its first editor.  Through his insurance business he is a regular donor to many causes.

John Hotchkis, Jr. President of Hotchkis Performance is involved first-hand with many aspects of the car culture: through modification, installing latest performance parts as well as providing driving instruction on the track.  He participates in the Wounded Warrior Foundation, Cruising for a Cure, Make a Wish, Motor 4 Toys and Sema Cars – Victory Junction Gang Camp.

Ron Bramlett through his love for The Mustang has made a career restoring and helping Mustang owners.  He attends numerous Mustang shows and events and is Chairman of The 50th Mustang Birthday Celebration, which will be held simultaneously on April 17, 2014 in Charlotte and Las Vegas.

May 5, 2013 – Beverly Hills, CA

Jeffrey Brynan initiated this event and was this shows first Iacocca Award recipient to be honored for his life time service to the collector hobby.  As a practicing attorney he routinely assists car clubs as well as individuals with free legal advice on issues of title, researching the history, locating parts, accessories and mechanics to help with their projects.  His extensive automotive library is available and often used by hobbyists.

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION CLASSIC CAR SHOW

July 11-13, 2013 – Dublin, OH

Jack Compton is a collector and restorer for over 40 years.  He is a chief judge for this show and as part of the organizing committee for eight years has helped in contributing over $100,000 to the local Arthritis Foundation Chapter.

WALTER P. CHRYSLER CLASSIC CAR SHOW

July 17-20, 2013 – Lake Elmo, MN

Mickey Dunning and Garry Yazell work as a “team” to get things done for WPC.  In addition to being involved in all facets of the WPC activities (holding board positions too), they raise funds for VA Poly Trauma Unit and Ronald McDonald House.  Their tireless support of The Lee Iacocca Award has contributed greatly to its success in the classic car world.

Mike Rey serves as President of SE, MI Mustang Club in addition to writing their monthly newsletter.  His philanthropy extends to American Cancer Society, JDRF, Angelia Hospice and The VA Hospital.

Don Williams and his Blackhawk Museum Collection, together with starting Pebble Beach have put him on the map of automotive aficionado’s.  He’s bought and sold over 4,000 classic cars.  His automotive related projects are in the thousands.

Denise McGluggage is a pioneer for women in both motorsports and journalism as a race car driver, author and photographer.  Her many achievements include the only journalist inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame.  She’s founding editor of the magazine Autoweek and through The Concorso she’s helped to contribute to non-profit youth organizations in Northern New Mexico.

Sam Posey is a race car legend, now speaking publically encouraging young people to get involved in the automotive world and to follow a passion in whatever direction it leads.  He’s an amazing story teller regaling audiences with his many adventures.

Lloyd Jr. and Janice Brekke work as a “team” volunteering, preserving, judging and are all around car enthusiasts.  They’ve been active participants in the Lakeland Classic since its inception.  They tirelessly support local non-profit organizations such as MDA and American Cancer Society.

Don Garlits is considered the “father” of drag racing, with his design perfecting the rear engine “top fuel dragster design” saving many lives.  Together with his wife they started the Don Garlits Museum in 1976.

Harvey Geiger’s lengthy tenure with Hilton Head speaks volumes to his dedication of this event in particular serving on the selection and advisory committee.  He developed The Driving to Success Program for Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head.
